Collins Street
Collins Street exudes style and glamour. It's a boulevard of chic designer shopping, five-star hotels, exclusive jewellers, grand heritage buildings and private clubs. It's also the city's premier commercial street-scape and home to big corporations, plus two theatres, three churches and all the banks.
Flagship stores include Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Tiffany & Co,
and Louis Vuitton. A more relaxed shopping style can be found further
west, in the mid section of Collins Street between Swanston and
Elizabeth streets, where the bustling retail centres of The Block Arcade and
Australia on Collins house many chain and many flagshiop, destination and concept stores.
The Collins Street Precinct
The Collins Street Precinct is the longest serving
group with over ten years of dedicated service to the Collins Street area which
is bounded by Spring Street and Queen Street including; lands,
buildings and retail establishments that run along Collins Street
forming part of this unique street. We believe Collins Street offers
the most unique shopping experience in Australia.

Melbourne's Business Precincts 2011-13
From 1 July 2011, the precincts program became Melbourne Business Precincts 2011-13.
The program provides funding support to eligible trader associations
within the municipality for retail development in each of the recognised
precincts in the City of Melbourne.
Melbourne's precincts
The City of Melbourne has distinct precincts - small pockets of the city with their own unique character, colour and charm.
Each precinct has a recognisable identity. Some are small - just a
lane or two - while others will transport visitors to another world in
just a few streets.
The City of Melbourne is currently giving these cultural precincts a $2.2 million makeover. See Cultural precinct enhancement program for details.
Businesses, service providers and retailers interested in becoming
members of the representative precinct association should contact their
relevant association listed here:
