The Australian Ballet’s Oscar© 

The Collins Street Precinct is excited to announce that The Australian Ballet will now call the Regent Theatre home. Alongside their arrival, The Australian Ballet’s production of Oscar© will be opening this September – this is the world premiere of this ballet.

Oscar© is created by Tony Award winner and international choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. The show is based on the life and writings of renowned poet and playwright, Oscar Wilde. Taking inspiration from two of Oscar Wilde’s stories, The Nightingale and the Rose and The Picture of Dorian Gray, Wheeldon masterfully weaves Wilde’s triumphs and trials through the choreography.
