State Library Victoria – redevelopment project update

On 21 September the Swanston Street entrance and ground floor to the State Library will be closed and the new Russell Street, La Trobe Street entrances opened along with new reading rooms and event space.
The Swanston Street entrance and ground floor will close for around a year while phase two is completed.
The Library is remaining open throughout the whole project.
From 27 August, hoarding will begin to be built out the front of the Library which will close off this entrance.
here’s a range of external signage being installed to help with way-finding and to communicate the Library is still open.
