The Society Dining Room is a study in modern Australian design and sophisticated dining culture. Here, beneath dramatic hand-cut crystal chandeliers, opulent interiors lend the feel of a luxurious yet relaxed supper club. The formidable wine cellar boasts more than 10,000 bottles in the ultimate support act to the kitchen’s virtuosic fare. The centrepiece, however, is the art of à la carte, allowing diners to curate their own exceptional experience and promising no two visits need ever be the same.
Society’s Euro-style brasserie Lillian is open for dinner, 7 days and lunch, Friday-Sunday. Here, warm timber panelling and curved banquettes create the perfect backdrop to a welcoming menu that celebrates small bites and larger shared offerings in equal measure. It’s carefully designed to complement our award-winning cellar selection, however you wish to approach it. Meanwhile, wrapping the space is a sweeping outdoor terrace, named after famed Collins Street denizen Lillian Wightman and perched overlooking the former site of this fashion icon’s Collins St boutique.
